FREDERICKTOWN — Lance Cpl. Jeremy C. Howerton of Fredericktown has been deployed to Afghanistan. He is presently stationed at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina with Combat Logistics, H&S Company, in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Prior to his being stationed at Camp Lejeune, he completed his basic training on Parris Island, S.C.

A 2008 graduate of Fredericktown High School, Howerton is the son of Randy and Cynthia Harris of Fredericktown; and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Andy Hill, and Mr. and Mrs. James Harris, all of Mount Vernon.
