  • Centerburg to reimburse part of expenses for development

  • March 2, 2010

CENTERBURG — Developers of a two-acre parcel at 56 Johnsville Road left the Centerburg Village Council meeting unhappy Monday night, but ready to move on with their planned development.

After two executive sessions, council members unanimously voted to reimburse Tyler and Amanda Griffith, owners of 2 Olives LLC, for just over $10,000 of the $15,000 the couple was hoping to recoup for added expenses after it was discovered the development was within 300 feet of the well head which supplies drinking water to the village. Council waived the three readings and passed the ordinance as an emergency so development could begin as early as next week.
