MOUNT VERNON — On Thursday, the Mount Vernon Police Department responded to the report of a stabbing at a residence on East Sugar Street. Upon arriving on the scene, the officers found Josh Shannon, 41, of Mount Vernon had been stabbed in his leg.
Josiah Thomas was arrested on a probation violation. He was also subsequently charged with criminal damaging for allegedly causing approximately $300 in damage to a patrol car en route to the jail.
This case remains under investigation.
