MOUNT VERNON - Fire broke out Saturday night at 1 Avalon Road in Mount Vernon on Saturday night. The building houses the business and quality offices of Mid East Ohio Regional Commission.
According to its website, MEORC works to "improve the quality of life for individuals with disabilities."
Mount Vernon Fire Department responded to the scene and called in College Township for mutual aid.
