UTICA — Some students and parents in the North Fork School district may be breathing a little sigh of relief.
On Monday, the school board decided not to have Saturday school on March 13, April 10 and April 24 in order to make up days when schools were closed due to a calamity. Treasurer Jack McDonald said Tuesday the calamity makeup days will be added to the end of the 2009-10 school calendar. Those days are June 4, June 7 and June 8.
McDonald said the next meeting of the North Fork Board of Education will be Monday at 7 p.m. in the senior high school.
