  • Litter recycling program calls for Spring into Action

  • March 12, 2010

MOUNT VERNON — Knox County recycling coordinator Linda Montgomery announced Thursday the commissioners office is once again looking for individuals and community service organizations to pick up litter along Knox County’s roadways with the “Spring Into Action” program. Participants will be awarded with a stipend of $3 for each litter-filled bag disposed of with permission at Action Waste, 80 Pittsburgh Ave., between March 1 and May 3.

“We’d like to get as many people involved as we can,” Montgomery said. “It helps the county and it’s also a great little fundraiser.”
