MOUNT VERNON — Candidates delved into problems Ohio is facing with the economy and the loss of Ohio jobs, the proposed rail lines, and key issues on what the candidates proposed to do specifically for the citizens of Knox County during a debate on Thursday night.

The event was sponsored by the Knox County Republican Women’s Club for the Republican candidates of the Ohio 19th Senate District and the Ohio 90th House District.

The Ohio 19th Senate District covers Knox, Delaware, Morrow, Richland and part of Ashland counties. Candidates vying for this position are Thom Collier, Lou Petros and Kris Jordan, who was not present during the debate.
