  • Thieves get little in Fredericktown break-ins

  • April 15, 2010

FREDERICKTOWN — Three stores in Fredericktown were burglarized last week, but the thieves didn’t find much to steal. Fredericktown Police Chief Jerry Day said all of the break-ins were after midnight April 8.

Thieves broke out a glass door to gain entrance to the Hometown Video shop on North Main Street. Fast Freddies gas station was also entered by breaking out the glass in the door.

The door was kicked open to gain entry to the Pizza Dock.

Day said the stores generally leave no money or only a very few dollars in their drawers, so the thieves got very little in the break-ins. At Fast Freddies, cigarettes were taken. The department is investigating the break-ins.
