  • Northridge puts issues on ballot

  • April 16, 2010

BRANDON — Knox County residents living in certain precincts in Miller and Milford townships will be voting on two ballot issues for the Northridge Local School District.

The first is a renewal of the current 1 percent school income tax. Funds generated by this tax are used for the day-to-day operating expenses of the district.

The second is a 4.99-mill bond issue for the purpose of constructing and furnishing school facilities. This bond issue includes a 1-mill property tax, also for construction. Funds from this bond issue will be used to build a new K-5 elementary facility, complete needed improvements at the high school and middle school, and provide funds for additional and/or future permanent improvements.
