CENTERBURG — Looking to the future is what the board of the Central Ohio Joint Fire District is trying to do. The board is looking to come up with a plan to cover the next five to 10 years in order to keep pace with the growing community it serves.

It has hired the services of Fulmer/Shaw Inc. to help devise a strategy for the foreseeable future. The question before the board is basically how it will serve the district in the coming years. COJFD covers an area of approximately 180 square miles, serving approximately 8,000 residents.
