Burning brightly

Two Fredericktown men received the Flame of Distinction recognition award Thursday evening from the Fredericktown Community Fire District. From left are Assistant Fire Chief Dewayne Canter, Skip Lantz, Don Huggins and Chief Scott Mast. Huggins and Lantz are successful in raising funds to assist Fredericktown groups and organizations such as the American Red Cross Knox County Chapter, The Salvation Army and the fire district, among other agencies. A principal fundraiser is the annual car show and bluegrass festival held each August.  (Virgil Shipley)

Fryin’ up the fish
