  • April 26, 2010

MOUNT VERNON — Rain-slick Banning Road, just west of Mount Vernon, was the scene of a crash when a pickup truck rolled off the road and into the Armstrong Run at 9:45 p.m. Saturday. The Ohio State Highway Patrol said Dylan Loy, 16, Tucker Road, was westbound around a right curve when his truck slid off the left side of the road.

It just missed a large tree, and rolled down a 10-foot embankment into the stream. Loy and his passenger, Adrian Knuckles, 16, Mount Vernon, were not injured. Loy was charged with failure to maintain reasonable control.
