MOUNT VERNON — The Mount Vernon Development Center held its annual employee service awards ceremony in the Great Room on Wednesday.
Guests were welcomed by MVDC Superintendent Ernie Fisher, who congratulated all those receiving awards for their hard work over the years.
“I want to thank you all on behalf of all the staff and supervisors for all the great work that you do,” Fisher said.
The awards are given to employees on the basis of continuous state service completed by Dec. 31, 2009. Awards are given in increments of five years, starting with five years of continuous service and going to 30-plus years. There were 66 employees honored at the ceremony, who have a collective 1,149 years of service. Because of work schedules and other commitments, not all award winners were able to attend the ceremony. They will receive their awards later.
