FREDERICKTOWN — Fredericktown school officials are reeling from district residents’ rejection of the proposed operating levy, and are considering different options and opportunities.
“We are certainly very disappointed in the outcome of our levy,” said Superintendent Jim Peterson on Wednesday. “The school board will meet soon to look at our next steps. Obviously the cost of running the district is not going to go away, and we are not permitted to go into deficit spending. As a board, we will discuss our next steps and certainly we will look to get input from our community as well.”
