HOWARD — East Knox superintendent John Marschhausen has announced his resignation. He told the News this morning that he has accepted the superintendent position at Loveland schools near Cincinnati. After serving East Knox for five years, Marschhausen said he has mixed emotions about the move.
“We have done some incredible things here,” he said. “It is only because of the successes here that a district like Loveland sought me out.
“East Knox is a great district,” he continued, “and we have made friends here. Loveland is a larger district and it is just time to move on professionally.”
According to the Cincinnati Enquirer, the Loveland board “chose Marschhausen because he brings academic achievement with his earned degrees, a passion and energy for academic excellence, great communication skills, and compassion and high expectations for all students.” He will start at Loveland Aug. 1.
