Open for business
The Kroger fuel station on Coshocton Avenue turned on its gas pumps around the lunch hour Monday. The station, where the former Bullocks Smoke Shop was located, is open 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. (Virgil Shipley)


Rollover crash
John Stepp’s Ford Explorer was heavily damaged when he lost control and left Ohio 3 just south of Amity, Monday at 6 p.m. He was taken to Grant Medical Center for treatment. The Ohio State Highway Patrol said Stepp was northbound when the car went off the road on a curve, went down an embankment and rolled over. He was not wearing a seatbelt. The crash is still under investigation. (Virgil Shipley)


Gottkes honored for restoration of home
Members of the Knox County Renaissance Foundation honored Wayne Gottke and his wife, Sue, for their work in preserving and renovating the Young House after it was damaged by fire.
