Sheriff asks for residents’ help

Knox County Sheriff David Barber addresses a small crowd of residents from Berlin and Pike townships Tuesday night at a Township Crime Awareness meeting in Ankenytown. Barber discussed a partnership between the Knox County Sheriff’s Office and the Knox Township Association to keep residents aware of criminal activities in their neighborhoods.  (Samantha Scoles)

Last concert

Veteran Mount Vernon school music teacher Gary McCutcheon conducted his last concert with the concert and symphonic bands Tuesday night, ending a 30-year teaching career.  (Virgil Shipley)

Rundells retiring after 37 years

Diane and Fred Rundell have been a fixture in downtown Mount Vernon for 37 years. They will be closing their business, Rundell Goldsmiths, on May 27 to retire.  (George Breithaupt)
