  • Experiment catches fire at school

CENTERBURG — A science experiment at Centerburg High School caused a minor disturbance Tuesday morning.

The experiment had to do with crayons which accidentally caught fire. They set off the fire alarm in the building, and the school was evacuated.

The Central Ohio Joint Fire District Department received the call at 10:21 a.m.

Chief Joe Porter was nearby and was quickly on the scene. He determined the problem and there was no other damage.
