MOUNT VERNON — A boil advisory is in effect for consumers in the north end. The area includes Wooster Road from Ann Street to Sychar Road including Yoakum, Oak Drive, McGibney, Stutz, Old Orchard, Grandview, Taylor Road, Decatur, Emmett Drive, Marma and Northgate; McGibney Road; North Mansfield from Calhoun Street to McKenzie Road; and North Mulberry Street from Calhoun to Northridge. The area also includes Shirley Avenue, James Street, Buena Vista, Crestview, Miller Avenue, Rose Avenue, Crestview, Kimberly and Oakway; Longitude Drive, McKenzie Road, Grange, Fearn, Pearl, Brook Run Court, Clinton Road, Snowden and Upper Fredericktown Road.
This was due to a main line break. As a precautionary measure, all residents in this area, who were without water, should bring their water to a rolling boil for a minimum of 2 minutes to ensure safety for consumption. This procedure should be followed until the advisory is lifted.
Door hangers were not placed in the affected area. Any questions may be directed to the Mount Vernon Water Department at 393-9504 during business hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
