Show a lot of fun for horses, riders

In for the long haul

Bicycle racing isn’t all on level ground. Riders compete on public roads and whatever the terrain offers. The riders in the Ohio State Road Racing Championships on Saturday near Danville had to pedal up the long steep Beam Hill on C.R. 14 west of the village for the 12-lap race. The route left Danville on Ohio 205, left on Chapel Road, and left on C.R. 14 for 4.2 miles per lap.  (Virgil Shipley)
