“It was 40 years ago that students first attended our current high school building,” said MVHS Principal Kathy Kasler. “Just as that senior class was exceptional, so is this senior class. This class has excelled at academics, athletics and the arts. They have also developed their leadership skills in many ways. Many of life’s lessons are not learned from a textbook, a PowerPoint presentation or a modal link. Parents, relatives, friends and educators, you can be proud of the class of 2010. Our future is in good hands.”

Kasler’s opening remarks came after the traditional processional and the singing of the Mount Vernon Alma Mater. The Mount Vernon High School Senior Choir under the direction of Marty Bell sang “I”ll Be There.”
