MOUNT VERNON — The commissioners met Monday morning with Matthew Kurtz, director of Knox County Job & Family Services, to discuss the budgetary efforts of his department.

Kurtz briefed the commissioners on a recent directors meeting he attended sponsored by the Ohio JFS office on budgetary management endeavors being made at the state level.

Kurtz said state officials estimate they will not be able to return to the 2007 level of revenue until about 2013 to 2016. Kurtz told the commissioners the information he’s learned will help in planning for the Knox County office.
