Rice feted for support of Utica

A proclamation was presented by the village of Utica to the family of the late Perma Rice in memory of her dedication to the Utica Food Pantry and the local community. A copy of the proclamation was also given to volunteers of the pantry declaring its new name, the Perma Rice Memorial Food Pantry. MV resident wins tourney

Jackets win competition

Members of the Mount Vernon High School football team competed at the Lucas High School Strong Man Competition, taking first place in the bench press and tug-of-war and second place in the medicine ball throw, hammer hold and sled push.
