Rotten tree removed

To show proportion of size, Ed Moreland, Knox County Highway Department foreman, stands beside this old Ash tree that is 6 feet across a the base. A limb blew off in a recent windstorm and the more than 100-year-old ,100-foot-tall tree had to be removed. It was free of the Emerald Ash Borer. Richard Burch Tree Service took down the tree and the county crew hauled it away. The tree was at the Marcy Roczacka home on North Liberty Road.  (Virgil Shipley)
