  • BFEC extending water line, adding pigs

  • June 18, 2010 10:43 am EDT

MOUNT VERNON — David Heithaus, facility manager of the Brown Family Environmental Center, talked with the commissioners about a proposed extension of a water line at the center. The commissioners are involved because the proposed line will run from an existing water source, be placed under the Kokosing Gap Trail and then tied into the center’s garden/livestock area. Heithaus said tying into the existing well’s waterline would be less expensive than drilling another well on the other side of the trail.

Commissioner Allen Stockberger said burying the waterline under the trail would be no problem, and gave Heithaus the appropriate utility permit application.
