  • June 22, 2010 11:08 am EDT

MOUNT VERNON — The contract termination hearing for Mount Vernon Middle School science teacher John Freshwater resumed today with Steve Short, superintendent of the Mount Vernon School District, on the stand.

According to News reporter Pam Schehl, Short is describing what materials he found and removed from Freshwater’s classroom, and put into storage.

In previous testimony, Freshwater testified about an anonymous letter received that listed items that were allegedly concealed from Freshwater and the school board. Short said he was not familiar with any of the items mentioned in that anonymous letter.

The hearing resumed after a short break this morning.
