Ready to fly
Jim and Eileen Wilson plot the course to Troy, where members of the WACO Club will fly to the visit the museum where all WACO’s were manfactured. The Wilsons, from Cross, S.C., flew to Mount Vernon Thursday for the annual WACO reunion. They have owned their 1936 YKS-6 for 10 years. Wilson, a retired engineer, has flown since he was a teenager. Eileen said the airplane is hers; she just lets Jim fly and pay for it. (Virgil Shipley)

Riley and Guthrie crowned at USA Days
On Thursday, Nevaeh O'Riley was named the 2010 Heart of Ohio USA Days Little Miss Liberty and Colvin Guthrie is the new Little Uncle Sammy. Both are 4 years old. (Pam Schehl)


Sychar Road home damaged by fire
Smoke was pouring from the upper floor of this house on Sychar Road on Thursday night while firefighters were on the roof and carrying a hose line into the house. The house was heavily damaged. (Virgil Shipley)
