BBQers earn bragging rights

Members of the Custom Cutters team in Saturday’s Monster BBQ Build Off dressed as Scooby Doo and friends. Their cooker was designed to look like the Mystery Machine from the cartoon series. On Sunday, the Ohio Eastern Star Home held its ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Glenn A. Gallagher Centre. Money Concepts earns title

Taylor McClary of A+ Autobrokers scores the tying run in the bottom of the fifth of Game 1 between A+ and Money Concepts. A+ went on to win, 5-4, and force a decisive, final game. It was Money Concepts’ first defeat of the season. Money Concepts avenged the loss with a 6-5 win.  (Geoff Cowles)

Mike’s Marathon caps perfect season

Mike’s Marathon shortstop Leighton Cunningham fields the ball as Yarman Roofing’s Noah Glancy (12) advances to third base during the second inning of Sunday’s championship game at Phillips Park.
