FREDERICKTOWN — A driver ended up in the ditch at 7:40 a.m. Sunday on Ohio 95, west of Fredericktown.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol said Allen Boner, 72, of Fredericktown, was eastbound when his 2002 Chevrolet pickup truck traveled off the curve at McClelland Road. The truck went 200 feet off the road, clipped a power pole, hit a tree stump and fence post and came to a stop on its top, said the OSHP.
Boner’s left arm was entangled in his seatbelt during the rollover. Fredericktown Fire Chief Scott Mast said rescuers cut the belt with a seat belt knife and pulled Boner from the truck.
He was taken to Knox Community Hospital by the Fredericktown Emergency Squad where he was treated and released.
Boner was charged with failure to control.
