Fredericktown block losing second building

This fire-damaged building at 88 N. Main St. in Fredericktown will be demolished soon, according to the owner Brad Swihart. The remains of the building that once stood next to it were demolished shortly after it was destroyed by fire on March 28.   (Virgil Shipley)

City works on streets, walks

The new sidwalk project on East Pleasant Street was started this week by United Precast Inc. Rusty Carter coated this finished section with a cure and seal solution to prevent the sun from drying and cracking the concrete.  (Virgil Shipley)

Service Medical caps perfect season

Service Medical 8-and-under girls softball team finished its season recently, winning both the regular-season and tournament championships and closing with a perfect 16-0 record. MV All-Stars down Springfield
