CENTERBURG — A group of friends in Centerburg are opening their gardens and homes for the Back in Thyme in the Heart of Ohio Home and Garden Tour on Sunday.

Saundra Dove explained she came up with the idea for the tour after opening her home to the public last year to celebrate the 85th birthday of the house.

“I was amazed at the number of people that came through our house last year,” Dove said.

The Doves spent a year restoring their home after purchasing it at an auction.

“It had been empty for 10 years, and being on the main road here in Centerburg, people were curious to see the inside,” Dove said.

Over 200 people toured the home during the open house. The Doves asked everyone who toured their home to make a donation to Centerburg Interchurch Social Services.
