MOUNT VERNON — International Paper’s Mount Vernon Container Plant, at 8800 Granville Road, resumed normal operations on schedule following a minor fire Saturday evening. The cause of the incident is under investigation, according to a press release issued Monday afternoon.

Because the affected area is auxiliary to the operation of the plant, there was no significant impact to the plant operation, customer deliveries or employees’ work schedules, the release stated.
