MOUNT VERNON — Knox County Common Pleas Court Judge Otho Eyster set bond for George E. Butler at $250,000 this afternoon.
Butler, 41, Mount Vernon was indicted Monday on six counts of rape, three counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and one count of intimidation of a crime victim or witness. He pleaded not guilty to all 10 charges.
Because of the seriousness of the charges the state of Ohio requested a $1,000,000 bond. Judge Otho Eyster set bail at $250,000 cash with a no contact stipulation.
Butler was arrested Tuesday and is being held at the Knox County Jail.
No arraignment date has been set for this case.
