MOUNT VERNON — Party! Party! has moved to 14 E. Gambier St., and will be open for business starting July 30.
The biggest change, other than location, is that the store will no longer be a retail site for paper supplies such as confetti, plates and napkins. Annie McClung, who owns the store along with her husband, Scott, said that decision had nothing to do with the current economic situation.
“I appreciate my retail customers,” said McClung, “but my first love is decorating. I especially love doing balloons. When we expanded the retail business, I had to go from event decorator to store owner and all that entails. I found I had less time to spend with my family, and Scott suggested that I go back to being an event decorator. ‘That’s what you like to do,’ he said. ‘That’s what you’re really good at.’”
Balloons, tuxedo rentals, event planning and rental items such as party canopies, tables and chairs and even coffee urns are available.
PARTY! PARTY! is open by appointment Monday through Thursday, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Fridays and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays. It is closed on Sundays.
