Left-hand turns coming to busy intersection

This city of Mount Vernon vehicle makes a left-hand turn from West Chestnut Street to North Sandusky Street on Friday. The city installed new traffic control devices at the intersection that will now allow for left-hand turns during the cycle of lights.  (Virgil Shipley)

Mount Vernon 13-year-olds win Ohio title

The Mount Vernon All-Stars won the Ohio Babe Ruth 13-year-old State Tournament on July 15 in Springfield. Peoples Bank wins Kokosing Valley titles

The Peoples Bank of Gambier won both the regular season and league tournaments of the Kokosing Valley League to finish with a 16-1 record on the season.
