MOUNT VERNON — Although Knox County Fair exhibitors competed individually in the Market Fryer Show on Sunday afternoon at the fair, many displayed a strong sense of camaraderie, cheering friends and family members on as judge Kevin Hooper took time to discuss each animal with its exhibitor.

Fredericktown sisters Katie and Jenny Dilts, ages 9 and 17, took home the top prizes. Jenny’s project was handled by a third sister, 10-year-old Hannah. The girls are members of the Contenders 4-H Club.
