MOUNT VERNON — The Alden family of Danville dominated Monday’s Knox County Junior Fair Dairy Show, winning seven classes.
Robin Alden also won the Junior and Senior Holstein championships. Her brother, Russell Alden, won the Junior Guernsey Champion while David and Daniel Alden took trophies in the Senior Brown Swiss, Ayrshire and Guernsey divisions. They co-own the overall Supreme Senior Champion.
“We are proud of all the kids,” said their mom, Kate Alden. “They have worked very hard to get here. They are all involved in the farm, and they picked their own projects for the fair.”
