  • Trial postponed due to discussions

  • July 27, 2010 10:52 am EDT

MOUNT VERNON — As reported by the News Monday, the Doe versus John Freshwater civil trial did not begin on Monday as originally scheduled. Attempts to obtain further information were largely unsuccessful.

Doug Mansfield, the Doe family attorney, said parties in the suit are still bound by the gag order issued previously by Judge Gregory Frost. For the record, Mansfield said, “It was postponed because of settlement discussions.”

Calls to Freshwater were not returned.
