MOUNT VERNON — Tori Anders was a popular name during Saturday’s Llama Show, winning four top awards: skillathon (12-year-old), Intermediate Showman, Grand Champion High Point and Master Showman.

Anders’ display of skill and control over her llama, Rock & Roll, revealed a high level of dedication.

“I’ve been training and working him since April of last year,” Anders said. “I got him as a rescue llama, he had never been worked before.”

The duo’s hard work paid off as they are now no strangers to accolades, Anders and Rock & Roll earned top spots in the Ohio State Fair judging as well, winning Reserve Intermediate Performance Champion. Anders was ranked No. 1 in the nation in 2009 for Junior Public Relations and Showmanship for the Alpaca Llama Show Association.

Anders also performs with Rock & Roll at charity events. During the Hartford Fair, Anders will teach residents of the Central Ohio Group Home how to show a llama.
