9-1-1 communications up and running

The new radio equipment at the Knox County 9-1-1 center at the Knox County Sheriff’s Office is installed and operational. Dispatcher Lisa Smith has a new screens and other equipment to help her handle emergency calls for the KCSO and county fire departments.  (Virgil Shipley)

Hatfield, friends share fun of bicycling

These three retirement-age men — Greg Phillips, Keith Linnabary and John Hatfield — recently completed a bicycle trip across the state of Indiana. The 160-mile, one-day ride took approximately 12 hours, 15 minutes to complete. This is the second time the trio has competed in RAIN.  (Submitted photo)

Yellow Jackets ninth in MVCC Classic
