FREDERICKTOWN — The Fredericktown Village Council met in regular session Monday evening at the Fredericktown Municipal Building with Dave Glass presiding in the absence of Mayor Roger Reed. Also absent was Councilman Paul Seymour.
After opening the meeting and accepting the minutes from the Aug. 2 meeting, council heard from Judy Divelbiss who spoke on how the Fredericktown Community Development Foundation is working on a slide-show type video which will be shown at the upcoming Fredericktown Tomato Show.
It will be a “feel good about Fredericktown” video, according to Divelbiss who said it still needs some fine tuning but should be a quality video when completed.
Word was received that property at Ottawa and Erie streets, owned by Mike Oswalt, has been littered with junk and needs to be cleaned up. Village Administrator Gary Gallogly said he is not sure if a letter has been sent out already; but if a nuisance letter is sent out, there is a time frame for the property to be cleaned, and an estimate on cleanup cost is usually contained in the letter if the cleanup is not performed.
