MOUNT VERNON — Patricia Mickley is the recipient of the Knox County Board of Realtors’ 2010 Crystal Mile Award. The honor was presented on Wednesday at the board’s monthly meeting at the Mount Vernon Country Club.

Mickley has been in the real estate business for nearly 40 years, having started with Don Tufto, then with Central Realty in the early ’70s.

The award was announced at the dinner by Felicia Rowe, on behalf of board president John Nussbaum.

“Patricia formed her own company, Patricia Mickley Reality, in 1981 and subsequently sold it to Jerry Baker,” Rowe said. “When she got her real estate license in 1971, and her broker’s license in 1973, there were only two other women in Knox County with real estate licenses. Patricia is now with Real Estate Showcase and still very active in the real estate industry.”

Rowe said Mickley gained status in the 1970s as a member of the Million Dollar Club.
