Tharps outstanding

Paving started
The new parking lot at Hiawatha Park on Scychar Road started to take form on Thursday as asphalt installation was started. The base layer, 2 1/2 inches thick, will be completed today. A finish layer of 1 1/2 inches will complete the project. No date has been set as to when the lot will be open for public parking. (Virgil Shipley)
