CENTERBURG — Centerburg seventh- and eighth- grade social studies teacher Sean Sweeney is currently on paid administrative leave while being investigated by the board of education.
The board met in special session Thursday night to discuss “a personnel matter” in executive session. No action was taken.
Board President Roger Clark told the News this morning, “The administration and board are dealing with a personnel issue that is in the process of being investigated. We have no further statement on this matter. Based on the information known to this point, our investigation is ongoing.”
Board members would not divulge any details regarding the nature of the investigation. Calls to Sweeney were unreturned at press time.
