MOUNT VERNON — An 11-year-old Mount Vernon boy is in critical condition this morning with head injuries following a crash involving an all-terrain vehicle on Wednesday at 5:07 p.m.

Dylan Pealer was flown by a MedFlight helicopter to Nationwide Children’s Hospital, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Because of the severity of the injury, the Mount Vernon Police Department asked for assistance from the OSHP. The report said Dylan was riding the ATV at his home on North Sandusky Street when he was thrown off.

No further details were available this morning.
