Wind damage

A brief wind storm blew through Fredericktown Wednesday afternoon bringing down this large tree limb and pulling down a power line on Mermary Drive. Fredericktown Fire Chief Scott Mast checked the damage.  (Virgil Shipley)

Reaping the rewards

Wheat and soybeans are coming into the Central Ohio Farmers Co-op on West Vine Street. Terry Randall, background, brought in 650 bushels of soybeans Wednesday morning. Grain Department employee Randy Adkins checks the grain as it pours from the wagon. Adkins said the co-op has taken in over 60,000 bushels of soybeans. Randall said the yield is about average, 65 to 70 bushels per acre from his 200 acres of soybeans.  (Virgil Shipley)
