Rain blowing through Mount Vernon limited the activities for the day, but the event still went on as planned. Above, youngsters wait their turn to sample a snowcone. The rally will continue today from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. with live music, kids’ games, raffle drawings, food and crafts at 117 W. High St., Mount Vernon. Centerburg ended up fumbling on the play, which East Knox’s Aric Durbin returned for a touchdown in a 26-20 overtime victory. Smith rushed for 167 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Freddies to a 63-0 victory. The Jackets finished the night with a 39-9 victory over the Pacers. Mount Vernon’s Alex Lambert (44) lays a block on a Delaware Hayes defender during their game Friday at Delaware. The Jackets beat the Pacers, 39-9. Utica’s Travis Baldwin (27) escapes the grasp of two Northridge defenders during their Mid-Buckeye Conference game Friday at Utica. The Redskins rolled to a 48-0 win.
