MOUNT VERNON — The Mount Vernon City Schools Board of Education announces a series of town hall meetings to discuss the November emergency levy. These meetings will be held at the following locations from 7 to 8 p.m.:

•Tuesday, Oct. 12, High School Auditorium.

•Thursday, Oct. 14, Pleasant Street Elementary.

•Tuesday, Oct. 19, Wiggin Street Elementary.

•Thursday, Oct. 21, Columbia Elementary.

•Tuesday, Oct. 26, East Elementary.

•Thursday, Oct. 28, Dan Emmett Elementary.

The meetings will include the sharing of information about the district’s levy request and a time for questions from attendees. The superintendent and treasurer will be the hosts for the town hall sessions.
