Knox County Prosecutor John Thatcher said Dales allegedly gave alcohol to a 14-year-old girl in a Mount Vernon residence on Aug. 14 and then engaged in sexual conduct with her knowing that her ability to control her own conduct was substantially impaired by the alcohol. Between Aug. 7 and 14, Joshua R. Strohl, 29, Danville, allegedly broke into barns on Millersburg Road where he allegedly removed four to five loads of metal items to sell as scrap. Strohl is accused of breaking and entering and receiving stolen property. Deputy Timothy Light, Knox County Sheriff’s Office, investigated the case.

According to Thatcher, Robert J. Linkous, 33, Mount Vernon, was indicted on a charge of domestic violence, a felony of the third degree due to his prior convictions for offenses of violence committed against family members in Franklin County, in 1995 and 1996.

Thatcher said Linkous allegedly assaulted his live-in girlfriend on Sept. 10. Patrolman Timothy Arnold, Mount Vernon Police Department, investigated the case.

Edward O. Roberts, 30, Mount Vernon, was indicted on a charge of domestic violence, a felony of the fourth degree due to a prior conviction for domestic violence in the Mount Vernon Municipal Court in 2006.

Thatcher said Roberts allegedly assaulted his live-in girlfriend on Aug. 31. Roberts also faces a charge of disrupting public services for allegedly pulling the telephone cord out of the wall interrupting his girlfriend’s call for help to 9-1-1. Sgt. Fred Gerber, MVPD, investigated the case.

Todd J. Ryan, 37, Danville, faces charges of domestic violence and felonious assault. Thatcher said a minor family member suffered a broken hand when Ryan allegedly assaulted her on Sept. 26.
