LOUDONVILLE — A truck pull on Wally Road, which was part of the Loudonville Street Fair on Wednesday, held an extra surprise for some of those attending.
The event was so popular that parking was inadequate and many visitors parked along the road. Many of those vehicles were towed by order of the Loudonville Police Dept.
Loudonville Police Chief Wayne Taylor, speaking through spokeswoman Sharon Strimple, told the News the police were within their rights to tow the vehicles.
“All I can tell you, per my chief, is the incident was handled and everything was taken care of,” Strimple said. “What we did we believe is in the right of the law and it’s a done issue. You cannot park on the roadway and that’s where some of these individuals parked. That’s why they were towed.”
